What is a Certified Lactation Specialist?
Certified in the field of lactation on the way to becoming board certified, a CLS is trained to provide safe, evidence-based breastfeeding management through thorough intake, evaluation, and follow-up. CLS’s come from a variety of educational backgrounds including doulas, mothers, social workers, nurses and midwives.
A CLS works with board certified lactation consultants (IBCLC’s) and physicians for advanced breastfeeding issues.
Prenatal Lactation Visit

Postpartum Lactation Visit
Meeting you wherever you are in your breastfeeding journey and making a plan to reach your goals through evidence-based evaluation and lactation management. A postpartum lactation visit involves a thorough medical history, newborn oral evaluation, feeding observation, and follow-up plan with resources and any needed referrals.
Lactation Education
Receive the most up-to-date breastfeeding knowledge and support through Birth Matters’ Breastfeeding course. It can be taken individually or as part of the full Childbirth Education Series.
What is a postpartum doula?
Trained in breastfeeding, after-birth recovery, newborn care, and partner and sibling support. The primary focus is the mother’s recovery while empowering the family unit during one of life’s biggest transformations.

Sweet Dreams
In the weeks and months after birth, you and your partner have a chance to recharge in order to improve day-to-day clarity and performance. During each 8 hour overnight period, I will follow your infant care routine to afford you the opportunity for the sleep you desire.
A Helping Hand
With 9 hours to use, as needed, and a 1 hour welcome home visit, this is the perfect balance for families desiring short term in-home support for the first weeks with their newborn while receiving the benefits of 24/7 phone and e-mail support and access to a vast resource network.
Getting to Know You
Receive the most fluid support available as I become an extension of your family unit. This package includes 3 visits per week over a 4 week period. Each day includes 3 hours of care that are personalized to your needs and include consistent, unwavering physical and emotional support. This package is easily duplicated for extended contracts.
Welcome Home*
A 3 hour visit after you return home from the hospital or following your home birth. We can discuss your birth while I prepare snacks and a drink for mom, tidy the kitchen and help unpack hospital bags. We will also touch base on feeding methods and answer any questions that have surfaced.

Hourly Care
In order to meet any need, I offer completely customizable hourly care. With a daily minimum of only three hours, we can create a schedule that works for you.
All services include a free consultation and 24/7 virtual support.
